Chocolate Season – The hope of mankind

Now  you may be wondering how Chocolate Season can be the hope of mankind, but… right smack in the middle of Chocolate Season is Christmas. Christ brought to earth the plan of salvation and ultimately the Hope of mankind. Without Christ, all shall parish and be doomed to the pits of hell.

I’m not going to preach to you tonight, but the reality is we’re a fallen man and without the redemptive salvation of Jesus Christ, we’re doomed to hell for all of eternity.

On any given day I reach for chocolate to sooth my tired body, but for my soul I turn to prayer, the Bible, and the blessings of God. Rest comes in various notions, but most often in the form of God’s saving grace. I can’t find peace within, if I haven’t accepted Christ into my life and there is no peace without Him.

So, what does all this have to do with marketing?

I’ve been asking myself that every time I go past a store window and see Christmas sparkling brightly in shining lights displayed on Christmas Trees with stockings and gifts all around. Christ was the marketing tool that God used to bring Salvation to the sin filled people on this planet. He had once prior condemned sinful man to doom when he sent the flood waters rushing down from the heavens. But he promised never to do that again, with a rainbow that appeared in the heavens.

In every nation on the planet, there’s a history of a flood. Every part of the earth recognizes that a flood did happen, and yet, we question other parts of the Bible. Also in every nation on the planet there are those who believe in a King come to save us from ourselves.

Yet, we question…

The book of Revelations makes it quite clear what will happen if we do not accept Christ as our savior. But even yet, we question. There is no doubt in my mind that Christ is the Savior and He was sent down from the Grace and Glory of God to save my soul. I believe.

It’s the chocolate season and the hope of all mankind is the Center of the Season; Jesus Christ. Do you believe?
